Teaching Journalism in China

   Journalism instructor Mike Igoe is leaving Buffalo State and heading to China, where he will spend a year as Assistant Professor of International Journalism at United International College. He also will help students produce a weekly TV news broadcast. Students speak English at the school in Zhuhai, which is located in Hong Kong bay.
   Since 2006, Mike has been a part-time instructor in the Communication Department, teaching courses in media literacy, media writing, broadcast news and communication law. Since Spring 2009, he has taught three courses each semester.
   Mike previously was consumer reporter with WGRZ TV-2 in Buffalo.
