Two for Young Alumnus Award

   Two Communication graduates are among four recipients this year of the college's Young Alumnus Achievement Award.
   Martha Meegan, managing assignment editor at WIVB-TV4 News in Buffalo, holds a BA in Broadcasting from 1992 and a MS in Multidisciplinary Studies (Public Relations Management) from 2006.
   Nick Laudico is senior vice president with The Ruth Group, a New York City agency specializing in investor relations. He holds a BA in Public Communication from 2001.
   Communication grads dominate the Young Alumnus award. Since the Alumni Association gave the first award in 2002, 27 percent (12 of 45 recipients) have been Comm grads. They include:
- 2008: Cesar Cabrera (2006 MS Public Relations Management) and Christopher Gallant (1992 BA Broadcasting)
- 2007: Jennifer Whitson Adams (1999 BA Public Communication)
- 2006: Richard Baumert (1986 BA Broadcasting),  Lisa Flynn (1986 BA Broadcast Journalism), Russell Griffin (1993 BA Public Communication) and James Hill (1988 BA Broadcast Journalism)
- 2004: Claudine Ewing (1992 BA Broadcast Journalism)
- 2002: Byron Brown (1983 BA Journalism) and Mylous Hairston (1986 BA Broadcast Journalism)
