Each year the Communication faculty document their academic, scholarly and service activity. The department chair coordinates this and outlines with major activities of the department, as well as its goals for the next year. This information is provided to the dean, provost and president.
This year's Annual Report outlines department's achievements during 2009-10: accreditation, journalism program revision, course revisions, online courses, scholarships, writing assessment, Sports Communication certification, interdisciplinary master's programs, service learning, alumni recognition, and student honor society.
It also lists faculty scholarship in various categories: 1 book, 7 articles/chapters, 11 conference presentations, 8 exhibitions, 14 productions & professional projects, 2 grants and consultancies, and 2 community awards.
