PRSSA Starts Its Own PR Firm
Buffalo State's chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has created a student-run public relations firm.
Faculty adviser Professor Deborah Silverman said the firm is working with the Graduate School and College Relations on using social media to increase graduate student enrollment. The chapter recently met with Graduate Dean Kevin Railey and Timothy Walsh, Associate VP of College Relations, to get their input.
PRSSA is the premiere pre-professional organization for students studying public relations. Students interested in joining PRSSA and the student-run firm can attend the club meeting on Tuesdays at 12:15 in Classroom A-303. In upcoming meetings, members will brainstorming on this project, work on a website, and receive a proposal from another prospective client.
